Heather Holiday started the way most good things do: at a crowded table, with too much food and not enough chairs. I have always been the one who wants everyone fed, watered, and laughing before the mains even hit the table.

This site is my invitation to you. Not to be perfect. To gather. To cook something that smells like home. To light the candles even when it is just a weeknight.

Here you will find recipes I actually make for my family: a Sunday pot roast that fills the house with comfort, a brown butter old fashioned I pour while dinner finishes, and brunch dishes like lemon ricotta pancakes for slow mornings.

You will also find hosting guides for the gatherings I love most: candlelit holidays, backyard BBQs, and brunches where the host finally sits down. I wrote them because I believe hospitality is love you can taste, and nobody should miss their own party.

Thank you for being here. Pull up a chair. I will pour the wine.
