Spiced cranberry spritz in tall holiday glasses, bubbles climbing, rosemary sprigs looking festive without trying too hard

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup
  • 3 oz vodka (optional)
  • 1 bottle chilled prosecco or sparkling wine
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 4 rosemary sprigs
  • Star anise and cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Method

  1. Combine cranberry juice, orange juice, and simple syrup in a large pitcher. Add vodka if using.
  2. Refrigerate until ready to serve, up to 24 hours ahead.
  3. Just before guests arrive, add orange slices, cranberries, and rosemary to the pitcher.
  4. Top with prosecco and stir gently once.
  5. Pour into ice-filled glasses and garnish with star anise or a cinnamon stick.
“Hold the prosecco until the last minute so you keep the bubbles. Non-drinkers love this without vodka just as much.” Heather Holiday
